sports-drink &#8211; Gl\u00e5cklich nach den Versorgung mit Wasser und Sportstrinken<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The sun is up when our alarm wakes us at 0.30, and during breakfast we meet to women who are biking the same way as us, but only to Troms\u00f8. They give us a tip as to where to spend the night around 100km south of alta, which is where we planned to bike tomorrow. Lucky for us, as this area doesnt offer many options as far as hotels go. The first 25km go over a small \u201cmountain\u201d to &#8230;., the last \u201ctown\u201d(and place to shop) for the next 70km. As we are aware of this, we stop to get something to eat, and spot a food-station across the road. We go over to talk to them, and find out that we are going the same way as the participants of the bike-race Onroad Finnmark, in which the participants bike an astonishing 440km with both start and finish being in Alta. There are only 70 participants, but at least there is proof that there are fit bikers, even as far up north as Finnmark. One of the women on the station thinks the gift of a North Cape -&gt; Oslo biking trip is the best gift she has ever heard of!<\/p>\n<p>At least the gift is not for lazy ones, since the next 70km are hard, not so much due to the sloping, but more due to the wind, which here in the tundra(no trees above 250 m.o. Sea) hits us full force in the face. even when going downhill we have to pedal to reach 20km\/h, and when its flat we are only going as fast as 12-15 km\/h, very tiring. Also, we are slowly running out of water, and are pretty happy when we find yet another pit-stop for the bike race Onroad Finnmark, where we are not just able to ressuply on water, but also take a nice photograph of us and our gear.<\/p>\n<p>The last km are longer than we had thought, and we are happy when we reach the city, and &#8211; after going up one last hill &#8211; reach the hotel. The hot shower and pizza at Pepes (right next to the hotel) are awesome. Good Night!<\/p>\n<p><strong>German version:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die Sonne scheint auch, als wir um 8:30 wieder aus den Federn kriechen, und beim Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck treffen wir zwei Frauen, die auch per Rad quer durch Norwegen unterwegs sind &#8211; allerdings st\u00fcckweise. Wir gehen mit ihnen unsere geplante Strecke durch und gekommen einen Tip f\u00fcr eine \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeit zwischen Alta und &#8230; , wo es nicht gerade dicht ges\u00e4ht ist von diesen. Die ersten 25 km gehen \u00fcber einen Bergkamm nach &#8230;, dem letzten \u201cDorf\u201d (und Einkaufsm\u00f6glichkeit) f\u00fcr 70 km. Dort werden wir auf eine Verpflegungsstation aufmerksam und unterhalten uns mit der Mannschaft. Es stellt sich heraus, da\u00df wir mitten im Radrennen onroadfinmark gelangt sind, bei dem die Teilnehmer einen 440 km Rundkurs mit Start\/Ziel Alta zur\u00fccklegen. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist mit 70 zwar recht begrenzt, aber es gibt auch hier in Finnmark fitte Radler! Als wir der Mannschaft der Verpflegungsstation von den Radtour als Konfirationsgeschenk erz\u00e4hlen, mein eine, das sei das beste Konfirationsgeschenk, von dem sie je geh\u00f6rt hat \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Zumindest kein Entspanntes, denn de n\u00e4chsten 70 km sind z\u00e4h, nicht so sehr wegen der Steigung, als vielmehr wegen des Gegenwindes, der uns hier in der baumlosen Ebene (Baumgrenze bei etwa 250 m\u00fcM) erbarmungslos ins Gesicht pfeift. Selbst bergab kommen wir trotz recht anschaulichem Treten nicht \u00fcber 20 km\/h, in der waagrechten fahren wir meist 12-15 km\/h. Recht zerm\u00fcrbend. Ausserdem geht uns allm\u00e4hlich die Fl\u00fcssigkeit aus, und wir sind sehr froh, als wir ein Begleitfahrzeug von onroadfinmark treffen, die uns nicht nur mit Wasser eindecken, sondern auch gleich noch ein Photo f\u00fcr uns machen.<\/p>\n<p>Die letzten km nach Alta ziehen sich, und wir sind froh, als endlich das Ortsschirn, und nach nochmals heftiger Steigung das Hotel auftaucht. Die warme Dusche ist super, und die Pizza bei Pepes (praktischerweise gleichzeitig das Hotelrestaurant) noch besser.
