Good news in the morning, a look at the shipment tells us thet the tandem was shipped at 2.00 in Alta and should arrive before 16.00 today. And so it does, just after we finished a big breakfast and packed our things the tandem arrives at 11.00. we unravel it from the depths of its package, and are dissapointed to find that not only does our trailer not fit, but also that the front fork has been bent slightly, making it impossible to fasten the front wheel. Luckily we find an appropriate in the hotel garage and are able to bend it straight, and I(Niko) also find a solution for the Trailer, which we dont fasten to the ******* but straight to the bike frame. Finally, at 14.00, we start on todays journey. Our destination: Oldefjord, excactly 100km down the road.<\/p>\n
The 100km pass pretty fast and without any incidents, only challenge was the north cape tunnel, with a 10% slope for 3km, pretty hard, but luckily its only day one and we are still fit.<\/p>\n
Sadly we dont get to watch the quarterfinal Germany vs France, but arrive just after the match ended in a 1-0 victory for Germany. We order and eat a delicious burger in the restaurant….. and good night!<\/p>\n

Gute Nachricht gleich nach dem Aufstehen: ein Blick auf die Sendungsverfolgung von bring zeigt, da\u00df das Tandem heute Nacht um 02:00 in Alta verladen wurde und heute bis 16:00 bei uns abkommen soll. Und tats\u00e4chlich, nach ausgiebigigem Fr\u00fckst\u00fcck und dem Packen der Sachen trifft es um 11:00 ein. Wir packen es aus und montieren es zusammen, was sich als nicht ganz einfach erweist. Beim Transport wurde das linke Ausfallende der Vordergabel gestaucht und derart gequetscht, da\u00df das Vorderrad nicht hineinpasst. Ein Kuhbein, das im Hotel rumsteht, hilft beim Ausbiegen – pa\u00dft! Die zweite H\u00fcrde ist, da\u00df der Anh\u00e4nger nicht an die Sattelst\u00fctze pa\u00dft, viel zu grossen Durchmesser. Niko hat die geniale Idee, ihn doch einfach am Rahmen zu montieren, pa\u00dft genau. Aber auch die Montage von R\u00e4dern, Sattel, Lenker usw. braucht Zeit und gegen 14 Uhr sind wird schliesslich fahrbereit.<\/p>\n
Heute stehen 100 km nach Oldefjord auf dem Programm, eher gem\u00fctlich, bis auf 2 ekelhafte Tunnels, einer davon der ber\u00fcchtigte Nordkapp-Tunnel mit 10% Steigung auf 3 km. Ganz sch\u00f6n anstegend, aber wir sind ja noch frisch in den Beinen, und als wir den hinter uns gelassen haben, geht es fast wie von selbst.<\/p>\n
Bis zum Viertelfinale Deutschland – Frankreich schaffen wir es nicht (als wir in den Hof des \u201cHotels\u201d in Oldefjord fahren, hat GER gerade 1:0 gewonnen), aber was ist das schon im Vergleich zu einen Radtour in hohen Norden. Das \u201cRestaurant\u201d schlie\u00dft um 20:00 und wir schaffen es gerade noch, einen leckeren Burger zu bestellen. Lecker … und gute Nacht!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
