This proves to be hard as we need suitable route lengths (around 100km), hotels or somewhere to sleep (few and far in between) and ferry routes (since we are in an area consisting of numerous islands, making us take the ferry up to 4 times a day).<\/p>\n<p>We also wash our clothes (absolutely necessary) in the Servicebygg of the seaport, a great tip for other travels (you get both a washing machine, washing powder and the option to dry your clothes afterwards). Sadly, the latter didn&#8217;t happen even though we made a deal with the girl operating the machines, and 30 minutes before departure I retrieve our clothes completetely wet, and no sign of the girl. Luckily it is quite hot (as it has been for the last days), around 30\u00b0 celcius, which makes us able to dry the clothes in the sun (while riding the ferry).<\/p>\n<p>The ferry bring us to \u00d8rnes, a small town which is known to have the most spectacular harbour entrance of the entire Hurtigruten. Tomorrow it is back on our bikes. The next big city to reach is Trondheim, and we are aiming to do so in 4-5 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>German version:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wir haben den Tag genutzt um &#8222;auszuschlafen&#8220; (das ist relativ, denn nat\u00fcrlich waren wir wie alle, die das WM-Finale geschaut haben, sehr sp\u00e4t noch wach), und danach haupts\u00e4chlich, die weitere Route zu planen. Das erweist sich als recht schwierig, denn es m\u00fcssen geeignete Tagesetappen (rund 100 km), \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeiten (selten), und F\u00e4hrverbindungen (da wir uns in einem Gebiet mit zahlreichen Inseln befinden, sind wir t\u00e4glich von 3-4 F\u00e4hrstrecken abh\u00e4ngig) aufeinander abgestimmt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Bleibt noch kurz Zeit f\u00fcr das Waschen der Radklamotten (absolut notwendig), was im Servicebygg der Hafenanlage gelingt. F\u00fcr sp\u00e4tere Touren ein prima Tip, man bekommt eine Maschine, Waschpulver und auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, die W\u00e4sche anschliessend zu trocknen. Letzteres geschieht aber trotz Absprache mit dem M\u00e4del, das zust\u00e4ndig ist, nicht, und ich finde die W\u00e4sche kurz vor Abfahrt der F\u00e4hre vollkommen durchn\u00e4sst noch in der Waschmaschine vor &#8211; von der Dame keine Spur. Gl\u00fccklicherweise ist es heute wie schon in der vergangenen Tagen sehr hei\u00df (ca. 30 Grad) und die so trocknen die Kleider auch im Fahrtwind der F\u00e4hre ausgezeichnet &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Die F\u00e4hre bringt uns nach \u00d8rnes, einem kleinen, verschlafenen \u00d6rtchen, dessen Hafeneinfahrt als die spektakul\u00e4rste der gesamten Hurtigruten gilt. K\u00f6nnen wir gut verstehen &#8230; Morgen geht\u00b4s wieder aufs Rad &#8230; n\u00e4chstes gr\u00f6\u00dferes Ziel wird Trondheim sein, das wir am Wochenende (also in 4-5 Tagen) erreichen wollen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We used the day to sleep in (this is relative, since we, as most others, were awake pretty long watching the World Cup), and then mostly on planning the route for the next days.
